OK i can't take any credit for the following link, it was also tested on VW ID4's not MG's.
As some? MG's don't have preconditioning/preheating on the batteries, your driving style can affect the speed you get from a rapid charger.

TLDR is yoyo driving vs steady driving before charging.
The yoyo driven ID4 hits 130kw whilst the steady driven ID4 charges around 30kw.
No approval is given to inappropriate driving styles.

Does it work on a MG, might be worth a try.

Hey interesting read.

Fyi the Facelift MG5 has batttery preheating. I have turned it on about 15 mins before arriving at the charger a few times and you do see a big difference when you charge.

Does the pre-Facelift not have this?
