Got it all warmed up & then off for MoT - which it passed ?
Didnt half feel strange after a month of MG driving. It’s manual for a start, but the absence of acceleration was a big shock. I did a quick calculation & reckon the annual road tax bill on the Mondeo (c £260 p.a) will actually be MORE than the cost of fueling the MG for a year driving 10k a year - especially as we are now on Go and also have a large solar PV system. Strange times indeed ?

You just need an oil well and refinery in your back yard now for the ICE. :)

:ROFLMAO: Oh! You're going straight to Hell for that one!

Theres not much point in getting rid of it as it’s not really worth anything and it’s mileage will now be quite low. Plus, it’s an estate and much more spacious than the MG and I don’t really mind getting it dirty.
It also runs on a fuel which can recharge itself in a couple of minutes and has a range of 500 or so miles ?

I'm in the same boat, I've SORN'd mine as it's very old but still very reliable & really only worth scrap value.

Plus, if need be, it would make a decent tow car, the one failing of EVs

I have a Renault Scenic auto that does 19MPG around town and 31 on a run.
I've done close to 1400 miles in my ZS now and it has cost me nothing (have a free 7KW Pod Point in my village) the same amount of miles in my Renault would cost me about £210!

We still have our Avensis oil burner which my wife drives to work 5 miles and back each day (we traded in her old Fiesta). A journey which is perfect for the EV, but, she works in a supermarket and has to park in the public car park.
I am not having my nice new shiny ZS bashed by every Tom Dick and Mary several times a day with car doors and shopping trolleys.
:)

Ha ha - it just shows that there are many factors that affect how green we are! I’d do the same.

Doesn't the Supermarket have a nice little charging station where it would parked with other like minded EV drivers and, oh, yes, free charging at the same time;)

Nope, it's a midsized Asda, not the little ones and not the superstore. Doesn't even have a staff parking area.

In fact does any ASDA have charging stations anywhere ?

Very wise !.
I always wonder why the PDR guys don’t just set up shop in the supermarket car parks !..
After all, 95% of their works is a result of a visit to our local supermarket !.

Only 910KG! Not great considering the power on offer and the four wheel drive. The Model X can tow 2250KG.
If memory serves you can no longer fit a towbar to the M3P, but can to the M3SR+ which is RWD.

I remember you could get a towbar for the Leaf for fitting a bike rack BUT not for towing, didn't stop one of the guys from using it to tow gliders around an airfield.

Problem is IF it was rated to 2000 kg someone would want to tow 2500 etc. etc.!!!!

It's all about options I think, and it is moving in the right direction.
