I have already upgraded the reversing bulbs to LED, the originals were a bit wimpy.
I'm thinking of upgrading the indicators all round as they too are a bit weedy and not helped by the lens area being small, and possibly while I've got covers off the stop lamps.
Sizes are in the manual but I was hoping someone out there may have already done this and could recommend any bulbs especially re canbus and perhaps have a view as to whether they think it was worth it.

Here is an interesting comparison video, in which the second owner switched back from LED’s to standard fit lamps ??.
Thought you may like to give it a view ??.

Thanks for that, interesting.
I was specifically thinking though of only changing the stop lamps and the indicators, front and back as the rear/tail lights are LED as standard on the MG5 so no need to touch those.

I replaced the reversing lights and brake lights, the former for increased brightness and the latter for increased reliability. I haven't changed the indicator bulbs.

Did anyone find a solution for led indicator bulbs for mg5 pre facelift? I tried 4 versions and all of them are hyperflashing.

I would try to replace the flasher unit, rather than find an LED bulb that wastes enough energy to satisfy the flasher. But I have no idea whether flasher units are now electronic and part of an ECU, or still replaceable mechanical units.

No more physical flasher relay I am afraid.?

Try looking at this thread, a couple of solutions in there. Worth reading from the beginning but post #6 onwards has solutions.

There are many similarities between the 2 cars, bulbs being one, after all they are MGs.

5 pre-=facelift and facelift
front - WY21W 21W
rear - WY16W 16W

ZS
pre-facelift
front - PY21W 21W
rear - WY16W 16W

facelift
front - led as standard
rear - WY16W 16W

So as you can see the rears are the same for all but the principle remains the same.

Not cheap but site currently has 20% off. I'm sure you can search for 'led WY21W' etc on there.
