Hi all,

So I’ve finally got my new registration for my car seems more real now ?

Insurance seems to be quite expensive, I’ve checked on confused.com and getting a quote for £513 for the year has anyone looked anywhere else to get other quotes? I’ll check the usual comparison sites but wondering if anyone has checked with insurers direct every check I’ve done my reg doesn’t show up as probably to new for their systems.

Luckily mine looks as if it will only half what you've been quoted @sczoo, but insurance is weird, 15 years ago it was more expensive for me to insure a diesel Astra than it was to insure a new Ford Focus RS ?

Oh wow! That’s great price i suppose it maybe my age potentially? I’m 33 but I do have 11 years no claims but pretty much double my insurance from my current car (Hyundai) to the MG I’m assuming because it’s a lot more powerful though ? my current car is 2023 plate and a 1 litre mild… mild hybrid ?

Ha ha, well I'm almost twice your age, and I have nearly double your no claims, so it's only fair that my Insurance is half the price of yours. ?

Insurers should be able to identify your car through this code even if a particular model has not yet appeared on their database.

I have a 3 year old HS PHEV and my insurance is due in a few days and the cost last year was £750 the year £2304 got insurance for £850, I do not use the unknown companies so this was middle of the road. Next will use the cheaper company as I will be retiring so will not need the cover as now.
