Good afternoon,

Any tips on getting g app linked to new MG5?

Have tried multiple times and keep getting a message to rescan code.

Any help greatly appreciated

I have an MG3 Hybrid but I think the software is very similar.

I had taken since July to get mine going so be patient.

I finally got a text message telling me the 72-hour pending period was up after unbinding the several failed attempts so whoopee, no one told me what the 72 hour pending was, seems it's to give me the opportunity to cancel the unbinding.

So I got at it, couldn't wait to see what this marvel of modern software would do for me, bugger all it seems, I don't know why I bother sometimes.

I've tried to get it to do something, ANYTHING.

It looks like you haven't given the app permission to use your data.
Although the app is the same, the way it looks and the things it does are different for each model. I don't really know anything about the MG3 but when the software has had a problem and my car cant connect to MG's servers I seem to remember appearing somewhere in Belgium. I assumed that's where the servers were but I dont really know.
