Noticed there is now a biometrics option to confirm HVAC etc. Or was it there before and I missed it?

It was there before - I have used it.

On another note, as reported in the iOS thread in the MG4 board, you can rearrange the positions of the 4 icons at the bottom of the home screen. Simply press and hold then drag an icon to a new position and release.

I'd been using the app all day and hadn't noticed any change, but when I went to try to update to the new version I discovered it had updated itself yesterday! Not sure about the dark mode yet.

I had to go into settings, as mine had updated, but was obviously on the standard theme - but, at least the option is there I guess LOL

Before any remote action, I normally have to scan the car first to establish connection.

Yes but how are you alerted. What if you are abroad on holiday etc. .?

I wonder if the automatic unbinding of the app would be useful to car thieves? They could take over control of your car?

They would have to scan the QR code so the app knew which car to unbind so the thieves would have to unlock the car and start it by stealing the key or using a relay device.

Was just fiddling in the app today and noticed this new theme option too, glad it's been posted about. So much better having a dark theme like the rest of my apps and looks a bit more modern too few pics for anyone curious:

PLAY store quotes the following for changes. Would be great to have but appears not functioning in UK.?

Yeah - I was just going to post the same ... except that the User Manual section seems more inclusive now. (I don't know if that came with the previous release as I hadn't looked).

I've just checked mine at 1.06 and it says it's the latest version.

Never check inside the app itself - it always says it's the latest version, even if a later version is available in the respective app store.

I don't even know if I'll bother with it again or not after several attempts both at home and the dealers trying to get it to latch on and then reading others problems with it being a bit unreliable at times.

My iOS version of the new app is back to its old trick of autonomously changing the target charge from 100% to 80% for my Trophy.
Also, no sign of the service history etc as described in the app release notes (ok, it does say for some countries only , but you’d think the UK would be included).
