Ok, I've need logged in absolutely fine for over 3 months. Went to check the state of charge this morning and I got "login token expired" annoying but nip out to the car to try to sort it and I can't re bind. The app just crashes when it turns the camera on to scan the QR code. Logged out, tried spare phone. Exactly the same. Uninstalled, rebooted, cleared cache. Nothing is working. It just won't let me re bind. Anyone else having this issue?

"Login Token Expired" on my phone (Pixel 8 Pro) just means that 've been logged out of the app and doesn't mean the car has been disconnected from my account. Maybe that's why your app is crashing as it's already registered?

Have you tried uninstalling the app, reinstalling the app and logging back in? This usually fixes all my issues when it's really not playing ball.

I've tried all of that. It came up with the bind screen after the initial "login token expired" I can log into the app absolutely fine, I can even log into the car with my login details. But it won't re bind. Not sure how the car has become disconnected if it's only app login. Strange that it's crashing on both pixel 6 and pixel fold.

There were similar issues with other Pixel phones recently, I think it had to do with an android update.

Thanks, I'll see what they say. As soon as I open the app (once logged in) this is all I see. Crashes when it turns the camera on to scan the QR. The camera lasts about 1 second before crashing.

Thanks for this! I'll look into it. But sounds likely. Hopefully most of the frost is done now ....

Ok, so one user says he logged in on an old non pixel phone, bound that and then logged in on the pixel and he didn't have to rescan? I was under the belief that the phone was bound to the car? So it would need re binding if using a different phone? Have I missed something?

I believe your account binds to the car, not the physical phone. So you should be able to bind account and car on a different phone (provided the car is free to bind to an account) and then login on any phone. I’ve read about people who got a new phone saying they didn’t need to re-bind

So how come mine is no longer bound? I will try binding another phone. If I can find one....

Update: I tried using my old tablet. Went fine until I get there message telling me it's bound to another device... So it is device based and not user? Otherwise logging in on my tablet would have been enough? Anyway, I've started the 72hour force unbinding. And I'll try again on the tablet, Then logging in with my phone

Absolutely, 100%, No. The car is bound to an account, not a device. Loads of people have already proven this - search this board for Pixel and you'll find people who've had issues after the latest Android update; they were able to login on another device, bind the car using that device, then login to the same account on their Pixel phone and the car was there.

I had the same thing, on Android, tried clearing cache only, did not work. Cleared the data and tried to log in, failed again.

I had to uninstall the app and reinstall it, now it simply works.

I do get some message displayed about some token expired, but it does not hinder my use cases so far. The car can be preheated in the morning; that's all I use the app for.
