I'd posted a few months ago about the infotainment screen being flipped when the car booted up.
Generally behaved itself with the odd occasion the start up logo would be upside down and then correct itself.

Now for the last 2 weeks it's pretty much been upside down.... startup, main screen, camera and carplay.
I tried a factory reset, worked the first time for a day or so, now back to flipped.
Doing the factory reset again proved challenging when the screen is flipped:unsure: ?
The touch screen is still correct, so pressing the "car settings" is the "home" button"

My local dealer can't look at it until the 27th August :censored:

I was going to make a joke but decided not to on seeing the photos! That must be a PIA!
I've just about figured out how to switch the LKA off!

Unless its your camera, if the picture is inverted its also back to front???? or mirror image.
not caused by my phone camera, the pictures are exactly how it looks to me. The screen is flipped top to bottom but touchscreen is still correct.

Forget the local dealer, I'd be sending those pics to MG UK head office and seeing if they can pressure the dealer a bit.

I thought software updates, but they'll probably just replace the whole infotainment unit.
Replacement will probably work but they also need to put you on the latest infotainment software.

The dealer is Glyn Hopkin. All their booking are done via a call center. I was thinking of emailing MG for advice, I'm going to be pretty pee'd off if they look, do nothing/need to order parts etc.

I've tried the hard reset disconnecting 12V -ve but didn't make any difference.

Annoyingly, the screen was okay last night and this morning
I'll keep the booking as I'm sure the issue will happen again before then.

Print off hardcopy proof from your photo and hand it to them and ask them to give that to the technician. This should be enough to convince the technician that you need a fix even if they can't reproduce.

Otherwise there is a risk they will put it down to customer confusion.

I'd email the photos to MG customer services saying it's unacceptable and that your dealer can't even look at it until the 27th August.
It might speed things up and if it doesn't you've lost nothing.
Find another dealer. What version are you on? Settings - System. Latest is R59
