Kumho tyres for MG3 Hybrid

That's interesting, they're not the same Solus HS63 tyres that are fitted to the MG3, but probably close enough if you want to replace a single damaged tyre. I wouldn't personally buy them to replace worn tyres.

Hi Clive. Apart from the obvious, what are your own reasons for not buying them? Are they vastly inferior to the HS63?

I don't mean the HS63's are any better or worse than the Asda ones, I just said they were different to each other, so they won't be the same on the car if you have them opposite each other on the same axle, but they are probably close enough for it not to matter.

I have never used any make of 'cheap' Chinese tyre, and I wouldn't choose to do so, but I'll obviously try the Solus tyres because they come with the car, and you never know, they may surprise me and be OK, but for less than £500 you can replace all 4 with Goodyear or Bridgestone etc, and know you have a better, safer tyre.

I have driven on both wet and dry roads with them and they appear to be fine. The next test will be on how long they last. Having said that, when the time comes to replace all four of them, I will be looking to do so with some all-season tyres such as Goodyear Vector 4 seasons. I have fitted them on previous cars and they give good peace of mind.

They won't last long if you hammer them.(ahem)
They are recommended fit from Lohen Motorsport and I can vouch for them.

Last fitted to a 250bhp Clubman I used to own.

Once they have enough grip to keep me on the road and stop when I need to, I'll be happy enough. I just need to sort out a spare.

You pays yer money and you takes your choice, I fitted these and did just over 4k miles in France in April, May and June in the Moho, they replaced two VERY expensive specialist motorhome tyres, I felt they were fine, I sued to fit cheap chines tyre so all my courier vans, wear an performance is more or less equal to any other cheapish tyres.

Costco do tyres too if you're a member it's worth looking
