Left Shortcut Button - Disable climate control shortcut message

Hey,

I picked up my Trophy today and after setting the left shortcut button to adjust drive mode and the right shortcut button to AC, whenever I active the left shortcut button, I get the message "Disable climate control shortcut", the AC controls come up AND the functionality of whatever the shortcut is.

For drive mode, it's not too impactful as it'll adjust the mode but if I set it to 360 parking, the AC controls appearing on the infotainment screen on top of the 360 cameras is clearly not wanted or useful.

Has anyone with a Trophy encountered this with their setups with any advice?

I've never tried the AC star button option. Don't see the point when you have the drop down from the top of the screen. But that does sound a bit naff.

On mine I press the right star button once and it lets me adjust the climate control with the joystick. Press it again and it disables the climate control and so the joystick goes back to letting me adjust the radio, music etc.

Sounds like your infotainment software has got a glitch and might need rebooting by holding down the physical home button for a few seconds or it might mean a trip to the dealer.

I find the right button controls very handy now I've got used to them. The only minor glitch is that the volume controls for the sound system in my previous car were on the left of the steering wheel, and I still haven't trained myself to go for the right. But it's great to be able to adjust the heating/aircon without even taking your eyes off the road.

I have no idea what the left button controls actually do.

I know where you're coming from. My last 3 cars had volume on the left. I use my right hand button for SRC.

Oh, I see. That's handy to know. Especially as I'm working hard on an organised USB stick for the car. I don't change the source often, but I was tapping the touchscreen.

Yes I get the same message but it then disappears within a few seconds.

I get the same message that disappears after a few seconds (R33). Before it was upgraded to R33 the AC controls used to pop up for a little while which was really annoying.

I also get this message. What annoys me is that when I press the star button the a/c control screen will only appear for a split second and I have to be very quick to make any adjustments before it reverts back to the main display. Half the time I don't make it and have to press the star button again. It should be programmed to appear for at least six seconds or so or maybe until the star button is pressed again to cancel.

This is annoying. Why should the same function perform differently on different cars. Mine too ,the AC control is only on for around a second if I use star button.

Surely that's a fault? Have you tried pressing it harder, or maybe keeping it pressed for a couple of seconds?

I have my right star button set for AC ... tap once to bring up the display, tap again to close it.

That's why I prefer to use the drop down for AC control and right star for SRC. It is unusable for AC control.

Probably another R33 fault. They may get it right one day !

Well, we've found one thing the SE does better than the Trophy....

[Gets back to sorting out DVD files so that the SE USB player will play the music in the right order....]
