Apologies if this has been covered elsewhere, mods feel free to delete/merge as necessary. But I've noticed the issue I had with the lights coming on during the day whenever it wasn't brilliant sunshine because the sensor lacked sensitivity has been fixed at the service. The lights come on when it is dim, and go off when it isn't. It means I can also leave the screen in auto mode for light and it doesn't flick between day and night modes all the time.

Now if only they could fix the LKA and I think there are essentially no niggles left to bother me.

Yes there is an appropriate software update which it looks like your dealer has applied.

This was a common complaint when the car first came out and various DIY fixes were suggested including drilling holes in the cover, replacing it with a modified 3D printed cover or just removing it.

I suspect it's one of the updates that are done alongside 1100R33, rather than the Infotainment update itself.

Still poor for me. Had updates at the start of April. Have to turn off manually still.

I'm quite confused about this one. I did get the non-infotainment updates but not the infotainment update, and my light sensitivity hasn't changed.

For me it's not how sensitive the sensor is to light and dark, it's that it reacts too quickly.
I go under a railway bridge that takes less than 2 seconds to pass under and the lights come on.
I would prefer a 2-3 second delay.

Mine is the exact opposite, it’s got to be quite dark before the lights come on. A few weeks ago I was driving on the M27 in the middle of a major storm, mid afternoon, black sky, hammering down with rain, wipers going full tilt and the lights still didn’t come on, turned the lights on manually in the end.

I timed it. It's about 2 seconds to come on which I think is right, because if you're suddenly plunged into absolute darkness you want those lights on almost immediately. The lights take 10 seconds to go off again when you're back in the daylight.

Same here. They don't come on until it's too dark. Other makes of cars that I'm following all turn their lights on but not my SE SR. Like other systems, it works, but it's not clever enough.

I can't think of a single situation where I would be "suddenly plunged into darkness" unless I drove into a black hole.
