Quick question.
We are planning on going on holiday for 2 weeks and will be driving the car about 80 miles to get there and back. Total about 160 miles in an MG4 SE SR.

Is there any data regarding whether the batteries will lose some of their charge during the 2 weeks when the car is standing idle?
Thank you and apology if this has already been covered before.

It is feasible for some charge to be lost but it tends to be very little. However there are 3 factors to consider:

1. You might want to consider having the car READY for a period (up to 30 minutes) during that time just to make sure the 12V battery doesn't get a chance to drain; OR

2. You might use the car whilst you're there (which will also help with charging the 12V battery).

Either of the above will reduce available charge in the HV battery. Even if neither of the above are considered, there is:

3. At this time of year I wouldn't bank on getting 160 miles range out of the SE SR, so you'll probably need to do a top-up charge anyway (either at a rapid, or via a "granny" lead plugged in where you're staying).

What is commonly referred to as ‘vampire drain’ is minimal on the MG4, so nothing to worry about really. Just make sure that you plan your trip as you would normally and top up if you need to.

That you both for your response which is much appreciated. The holiday will be in the summer and we will be away so there will be no opportunity to charge the car while we are away. And hopefully the 12v battery will be new and not go flat. But I will most likely need to get a cable to do a top up charge if needed on the way back home.
This will be a typical scenario for many drivers in the summer months.

The high voltage pack should keep the 12v battery topped up so I wouldn’t worry too much. However I would recommend getting a small jump start pack to keep in the car (under the seat is ideal) if you can. It doesn’t need to be powerful as it doesnt need to crank an engine as in an EV.
something like this - cheaper are available I’m sure.

My car was left with dealer for the oil leaking fix, the car has been parked in dealer's car park for more than 2 weeks.
From the battery % indicator, lost nothing.

If you top up at a DC rapid charger the cable will be tethered to the charger you won't need one. You would only need a type 2 lead if you are charging at a slower AC charger, that I think you would not wish to do as it would that longer, unless you find a suitable location for an overnight charge.

I don't suppose something like this can be used whilst the car is left can it ?

Only if the sun shines ☀️
Perhaps one of these which also doubles as a torch and will charge your phone
