Anyone else getting irritated with the memory of the car? I’ve had the car two days but every time I turn off lane keep assist or front collision it comes back on when starting the car again. It’s the same with a few other features like regenerative braking. But then all convenience features stay the same so why can’t the MG pilot features do that? It’s driving me crazy

Yep.
Better get used to it!
To get the highest Euro NCAP rating this is the way it has to be.

Infuriating I know, and no one knows whether we will ever get a customisable mode that stays customised.

I just turn off LKA as part of my start up routine.

10 months in and it's just become 2nd nature.

OK, so the hunt for a way to customise settings has been fruitless. I share the car with my son and we have also worked out a start up routine, starting with setting the mode to eco. Quite why that cannot be set as a default is beyond me.

I mean first world problems and all that,
as infuriating and so seemingly easy to resolve as it could be by MG.

My wife no longer drives, but I have discounted cars in the past because the car didn't have electric memory seats.

The days where we would share a car are long gone, but having to readjust the seat and the mirrors just so, every time wore real thin, real quick.

As I say 1st world problems.

Mustn't grumble.?

I just bought a new MG4EV. This emergency brake system hit me in the second day. took it back to the dealer only to get answer that it cannot be turned off permanently. the fact that we are not given the authority to control the car is totally annoying. in 30 days using the car, AEB hit me 3 times, at the latest occassion it got my 6yo daughter rolling down from the back seat, and (very important to highlight) we got almost hit from behind by a friend's car. It was very fortunate that my friend had a chance to hit the brake.

For me personally, not being able to set the car to my preferences is very irritating. While MG is trying to maintain a global safety standard, they should give options for car owners to keep the preffered setting permanently. MG is selling not only in Europe, while road conditions and people behaviour in other parts of the worlds have their own characteristics and uniqueness. I guess it maybe one of the reason MG sales are lacking behind other China brands.

I haven’t fact checked this yet but I was watching a car review video on a lotus eletre and the guy reviewing stated that he had to keep turning ELK and overspeed warning off everytime he got in his car because that’s what every car has to have now, that is certainly an annoying future it drives me mad

I experience emergency braking whilst the lane assist and adaptive cruise control is switched on (features that I use a lot), when it mis-identifies a parked car. However when driving normally the brakes have never applied. I wonder if there is something in the settings...
Problem is no point in calling MG Customer Service to ask them, as in my experience they haven't got a clue!
