Hi everyone,
I have an MG EHS (2022), and recently, someone hit my door with something and scratched it. He provided his insurance details, and my car was repaired.
I took it to an official MG repair center, and they did a 10/10 job. However, when I picked up my car today, I noticed that the steering wheel felt surprisingly stiff—definitely not how I’m used to it. I’ve been driving my car for 20,000 km, so I know very well how light the steering wheel used to be.
After driving for about 10–15 minutes, I returned to the MG shop, and a technician took it for a 5-minute test drive. He said everything felt normal, but to me, it doesn’t feel the same as before. I also noticed that my settings had been reset—my clock was always in 24-hour format, but now it’s in AM/PM, and my phone is no longer linked to the car.
Why would they run a software update or reset anything for a door repair?
I have a feeling they’ll say the steering wheel was always like this and that I’m just imagining it...
Any ideas? I’ve checked the menus for any steering wheel settings but couldn’t find anything.
Thanks for reading.
