MG HS Phev won’t charge

My MG HS phev won’t charge and I kept it plugged overnight and it kept connecting, I checked the port was in properly and the charger also had the power and charge lights on. I’ve tried in different sockets and also in different houses but it won’t charge. Just keeps saying connecting.

The fault light is not on.

Ok so when you plug into the car keep the wight of the cable of the plug as you plug in until you hear the plug lock the plug then let the cable hang. If this doesn’t work can you find a public charger with a type two plug and try that. After that you need to take MG repair center.

Just did this but still says connecting and I’ve left it in there to see if it charges

Before you take it to a repair center can you find a public charger and if it will not work there then it needs looking at.
I can not see it working I think your car socket could be faulty.

Yeah I’ll take it to the center since there isn’t a charger in my city
