I observed the behavior of the MG ZS EV while using MG Pilot and came to the following conclusion. MG Pilot has a higher consumption compared to when I drive without it. The reason is that during deceleration, there seems to be no regeneration. On the other hand, when driving on flat terrain or uphill, its ride is smoother, which I believe results in lower consumption. Therefore, I started anticipating my driving: I use MG Pilot on flat terrain or uphill when I don't expect to decelerate, and I turn it off when I expect deceleration to take advantage of regeneration. Of course, if I want to "rest," I let MG Pilot drive me.
Can someone confirm this, or have I observed it incorrectly?
