I couldn't get an answer from the dealership about this for the MG5 but knowing you ZS owners already have it, thought I would ask you.

So as the title, when you're doing MG Pilot and you're stopped behind another car, how long is it roughly before you need to press the pedal to get it to start again?

Are you engaging MG Pilot or just ACC.
On ACC a message comes up on the screen something like 'press pedal to re-engage.....' I have not been in MG pilot and actually stopped.

Neither yet, car doesn't arrive until October. I just couldn't get an answer for this at the dealership.

Just wanted to know how long a stop was before it wouldnt start again by itself

Ah right, it invites you to press the pedal to continue when the car in front moves away in ACC.
Just found this in the manual....

Whilst in the car following cruise mode, you
can follow the vehicle ahead to a stop, if the amount
of time that the vehicle is in a stopped condition is
less than approximately 3 seconds your vehicle may
automatically pull away to follow the vehicle ahead, if
the stopped time exceeds 3 seconds your car will not
automatically pull away, you will receive a prompt in
the instrument pack message centre requesting you
to re-activate the adaptive cruise control

That was exactly what I was looking for thank you!
