I took delivery of a new zs hybrid+ in March 25. I'm still very much getting used to it having gone from an old 07 Citroen Xsara Pcasso.
I'm finding that when I'm stationary in my garage the sat nav thinks the vehicle is in a completely different street some 600yds away or more. I have HOME identified in favourites but can't find a way to force the GPS to recognise where I actually am. Another query: is there a way to set the location where you are as a favourite, without going through all the address input faff?

As a security measure I have set HOME a distance away from my actual address, but the sat nav thinks it's stationary some way in the opposite direction at a place the car has never been. I'm flummoxed.

Thanks I would do that anyway but I'm trying to find out how useless the MG sat nav is. My old Tom Tom works better than the MG one! If there was a manual I might not need to ask these questions..... or would I? :~

There is an online manual at:
However you are right, when you ask “or would I? As the manual doesn’t include any reference whatsoever to the Navigation system. At best, the manual can be described as “unfit for purpose”.

Hi I am having the same thing with my sat nav in my mg zs hybrid+ trophy it puts me 300 yards away but when I am iny house it can put the right address in got my car in April.

I will say that mg sat navs aren't good but it has always got me to were I want to be I had the mg zs before this one and the sat nav was the same you can update for five years I think it will be once a year.

Thanks for the info, I have found the manual. In fact my hubby had a hissy fit one evening when reading this manual that said about bulbs to replace headlight bulbs. He went off on one saying he expected LED headlights. Of course the hybrid+ has LEDs but having a manual saying you'd got bulbs isn't really helpful. Regards the satnav I have found Jerry Pan from NZ talking about the MG3 nav system to be really informative. It's the same as the ZS trophy

I have posted regarding Jerry, there are quite a few of his post regarding the hybrid+ and many regarding the MG3 which is very similar.
Regarding the manual enough said…..😒😒😒

I did find that occasionally the GPS will try to locate itself around the last spot I had the NAV screen on, but as soon as I enter any address or the search menu, it locates itself correctly; I did come across this randomly in other cars as well (among the a Peugeot 308, which probaly uses a nv realted to the CItroen of yours), might be a "Feature" form the map provider.

Also, in any garage or tunnel, you naturally have no GPS signal, so it will automatically be off and approximated on whatever last point it had a signal and saved the position.

Agreed, however I’ve not used the inbuilt navigation system, due to it being difficult to use, and the fact that MG appear to agree, by not even bothering to include it in their ‘manual.’
Also I’m uncertain how the MG navigation works. They MG iSmart app locates my car to within a few feet, and I would have thought the car’s navigation system reports location, in the same way.
I admit I don’t really know, as I use AppleCarPlay, because that does work.

I have used the satnav multiple times without issue. I park my car in the garage and when I set off its never in the correct location, sometimes miles away. However, by the time I have driven 20 yards it corrects itself.
