Ok, so are you happy to leave the factory oil in your MG3 Hybrid engine until the 10,000km service? Not me. I am used to having an early break in oil service on new cars and 1000km is pretty standard on some manufacturers engines. So i decided to get that factory oil out of my MG3 Hybrid at 1000kms and replace whatever they put in with a quality oil (of the correct spec which is 0-20W, C5 grade. I chose Shell Helix Ultra 0-20W, C5). As there is no onformation on oil filters for the Hybrid engine, i decided to leave that for the Service guys at 10,000km (or more likely one year as i don't that far in a year). I have a nice hand vacuum oil remover pump (from Amazon). Just feed the hose down the dip stick hole to the bottom and pump out the oil. Of course you can not get it all, some stays in the filter, and other cranies, but i did pump out 3 lts. Then refilled with Shell Helix Ultra 0-20W, C5.all good.
