Hello everyone, I recently bought an MG3 Hybrid but I was wondering how the electric system works. I've read online that under 50 km per hour the electric battery starts running, however while driving at that speed the display shows the acronym HEV, which I think it means the gasoline engine is running. Am I wrong? Can someone explain to me how the system works and how to drive the car in order to save gasoline and go electric as much time as possible?
Thank you in advance.

In cold weather, the car will run on HEV more than EV. When the weather warms up, you will see the EV mode selected more often. To maximize running on EV, keep the air con on auto instead of manual. Select ECO on your drive mode and level 3 on regeneration (not when the roads are icy). Look ahead and anticipate so that you can slow down using the regen, rather that the brakes.
