My MG4 Excite 64 ADAS results in sudden braking if I’m turning right (driving on left side of road) into oncoming traffic. If too close to oncoming car just passing by my car, ADAS activates with sudden braking. Anyone else experienced this?

Yes, mine does exactly the same.

After several trips to the dealer, I've been told there are no new updates on this and my best option is to disable the feature.

I am not impressed by this advice.

Thanks. It’s quite dangerous, particularly for the car behind also waiting to turn and anticipating that I drive on. Which exact feature is it that needs disabling please? Or whole ADAS? Thanks.

If you go into Front Collision Assist, you need to either disable it or switch to "Alert" instead of "Alert+AEB". AEB = Automatic Emergency Braking" and this is what you are experiencing.

Unfortunately this has to be disabled every drive, after pressing the brake pedal, just like ELK (Emergency Lane Keeping).

It is part of my "pre-flight" checks.

OK, thanks. Do you think it’s a software issue? Algorithm hasn’t learnt the “turn into oncoming traffic” scenarios??!! Hypercomplex world.
Software and/or calibration of the hardware.

There are rumours of a software update to fix it but I can't get hold of it (if it even exists). Definitely worth following up with your dealer.
