MG4 Infotainment Touchscreen

To be honest, I touch the infotainment screen as little as I can get away with while driving, I mean it's responsive enough but it DOES take the eyes off the road for a little longer than I'm comfortable with and it's a stretch to the far side. A stylus when driving would exacerbate those issues I think.

I don’t see why it wouldn’t work with a stylus. What issue are you experiencing with your finger and the screen?

I find my screen is calibrated just a little off, I have to tap at the top of icons I want, if I tap the middle or lower half I get the icon below it. Annoying but also a first world problem I suppose.

My icons are OK, but I'm in the habit of resting my fingers on the top of the screen (for stability) and touching with my thumb.
That's the way I do it, it's really the only way, especially for us with rhd cars who have to use our left hand to manage the screen, left handed drivers can probably manage better. 😁

Touch screens like warm fingers, so you can try to friction warm them or use the heated steering wheel. The other thing is the harder you press the less responsive they become, so a light touch is required.

I used to sell electric hobs and ovens and the number of folk who couldn't get the touch controls to work on these because they were pressing too hard. Explained that the harder you press the colder your finger becomes and suddenly with a lighter press the controls worked.

We don’t get our Trophy until March 3rd but have already decided that get in the car turn the radio on, heater on and go finger’s x that’s all I need for the time being 😵‍💫
