Hi all,got an mg4 2024 with 4k on the clock been in an accident all airbags blown it was saying g on dash evacuate car with a picture of car with all four doors showing arrows to get out,I’ve unplugged the SRS module which was under the centre console, that’s now gone but there’s no power coming out the main battery from under the rear seat in the main battery module which feeds all the car.has anyone had this from a crash damaged car,is there a cut off further along in the main battery

I thought there was a cut-off integrated into the battery unit, accessible from underneath the car? (Maybe I'm confusing that with a Tesla).

You could be right I’ve not took the large cover off under the main battery yet just put it out there to see if anybody can guide me,cause I’m going in blind at the moment

Usually, you need to clear the airbag module on the tunnel & replace the pyro fuse in the main HV battery (what the photo shows is a junction box, but neither of the above)

Thank you Tig170 yes I think there is a 500 amp fuse inside main battery, thoughts are probably have to drop battery to get to it. ?

Might be stating the obvious here but:

You have 400v DC there at a potential 200+ amps. If you touch anything it will not let you go and its more than able to launch you to eternity.

Use some proper ev gloves and tools and absolutely know what you are messing with.

Its possible you also need an Autel or other device to reset any codes in the computer

Yep got gauntlet gloves rated up to a thousand volts and leather protectors over the top of them, going in blind which I meant not knowing the circuits of the car,and learning them cheers
