This struck me as being good value for someone expecting to do a low mileage over the next few years (i.e. to keep it under 80,000 mile warranty limit).

Or am I missing something obvious, apart from it not being a Trophy? Doesn't appear to be a Cat S or N either.

The interior looks good for nearly 70000 miles although the software doesn't seem to have been updated as the AC screen is still the old style

Having done almost 69k miles will be what's resulting in the depreciation. However mileage doesn't age batteries as much as most people suppose so it could well be a good buy. Note that the Autotrader algorithm has it as a "Good Price" rather than "Great Price". I tend to watch for Great Price deals when I am buying.

Yes, it's nearly 150 miles a day for each working day over 2 years, give or take. So, am guessing either someone who commutes for 3 hours a day or maybe one of those gig-economy delivery drivers?

LOL... Sold

"Sorry, someone just snapped up this car..."

Yes. this is consistent with recent auction prices: it is high miles - £15-16k common for lower mileage examples.

Second hand values dropped a lot but have stablised, not much change in the last few months.

And remember prices are always lowest in December and January as they are slow months and dealers often want to turn over stock.

With large amounts of MG4s coming off lease/PCP in 2025, will be interesting to see if prices drop again.

:( so I noticed.

Fingers crossed that will be good for me (hopefully) buying next year ;) How long are typical lease/PCP deals for? And when in 2025 do you expect a glut?

2 year PCP deals are not that common but do exist, so those cars will probably come online early next year. 3 year PCP deals are more common and the early 2022 cars will come online around September.

And those 2022 cars, as we know, are the ones with all the early launch issues / bugs / bits falling off / oil falling out

Good point, I'd like to get a version 2.0 MG4 Trophy if we can afford it - best price I've seen so far is £18,500 for a 7,000 mile one that's just 13 months old. Just didn't want black if possible!

All of which have been rectified under warranty, meaning the car is well-sorted and reliable. :) Plus my "bargain basement" SE SR has privacy glass in the rear. ;)

Nothing unusual about that, I asked about it at the last service and "unless its broken we aren't updating it" was the response.
