MG4 Touch-up paint volcano orange.

Hi fellow MG owners. So being a newbie just wanted to introduce myself.
Just picked up my first EV an MG4 Trophy lg in volcano orange. I must say so far I'm loving it, being retired I have plenty of time on my hands to go through the steep learning curve in EV ownership, think I'm just about got to grips with it.
Had a Zappi fitted last week and my supplier being Octopus energy on IOG so have now got cheep charging sorted.
I have one question though, why can't MG supply touch up paint for there cars? Not even the dealership knew if they supplied it or not!!
Any way found a company on eBay called autocolourdirect that supply a Bubble Orange which is the same paint code as MG's volcanic orange. Ordered the paint, arrived a couple days later and is a perfect match. Hope this helps anyone.

Thanks Salty, Now you are showing your age The last 5 cars have been various gun metal colours, so thought it was time for a change and we love the orange
Yes having lots of fun, really enjoy the smooth progressive exceleration, must pay more attention to the Speedo reading tho.

Can't believe this is still the case - I have one stone chip and one paint defect to sort, and by now surely the MG dealerships should have touch up paint supplies? I'd happily get a 3rd party paint to sort out the stone chip, but the paint defect is a warranty issue.
And yes - orange is the colour.....the only colour!!!!! Surprising how some folk I meet really LOVE it and others really HATE it with a vengeance!!!!! I'm up in Harrogate in a few week's time, parking my MG4 right outside the door of someone who 'can't understand why I'd buy a car that colour.....'"

The stone chip isn't a warranty issue.

However, I have that classic windscreen wiper paint defect caused by someone lifting the windscreen wiper when not in service mode.
'Twasn't me, as I knew before I took possession of the car how to put the wipers in 'service mode' rather than not.
It's going to be fixed -but can't fix without the paint!

I also endorse Chipex, they're a bit more expensive but give a really professional finish and a perfect colour match. I've use them for a few cars and all have been a match.
