MG5 Excite 2022 Battery

Hi. My first post and first MG.

I’ve agreed with a well-known and well-established local dealer to buy a MG5 Excite, June 2022. Mint condition, 23,000 miles.

Price is just under £13,000 which is the best I can see around but a bit concerned it is too good. Should I be?

I asked about battery condition was told 97.080%. Does this sound correct after 2 years. I really like the car and almost certainly will go ahead but thought I’d ask this here.

Sounds about right. My 2021 had 20k miles on the clock and an SOH of 98%.

Battery condition looks OK but why they didn’t round to 97.1% is beyond me?

Another important point, was the car serviced properly as otherwise the 7year warranty might not apply any longer?

Not sure if you’re aware but MG’s after sales support and customer service has a lot of room for improvement…

I don't think you’ll regret it. I have the same car with 32k miles now. Had it since new. No issues at all. I also have 98% SOH

Ask the dealer for a service record, including a battery SOH printout. MG5 is good and for me the Excite is the best model.
