MG5 radio turned on by itself

hi i wonder if any one can help
i always turn the audio system off when i turn the mg 5 ev off so when i turn it back on again the audio should not be on
but today the radio turned on which was annoying because it was quite loud please help

Happening to me as well. Just can't find setting for Radio to be off when I turn on the car. Every time I have to turn it off after starting the car. Anyone knows how to do this?

Its the infotainment system off or on, not the radio. All or nothing. Press and hold down the centre of the volume control and it will turn it completely off to just display the clock. Press to turn on again.

Wish there was a way of keeping infotainment system ON but radio OFF
Any suggestions how to do this?

I had this on my Mercedes and found there was no way of turning the radio off in isolation. I managed a bodge by tuning the number 1 favourite, or heart in your case, to wave length with no reception. So when I wanted to silence radio just pressed 1 in my favourite and hey presto job done hope this helps.

Or turn it to Music/USB with no usb in.
