Hi all,
I’ve seen a 2021 MG5 52.5kwh battery car i’m interested in buying, but despite searching forum posts and reading manuals, i’m still not clear which models can support a 75kg roof bar load and which can only support 35kg. Was it a certain year that this changed, or is it just all models that are long range and not standard range that support 75kg?

Any clarification with source of information would be really appreciated.
Big thanks.

The rails specifically on the original mg5 short range are limited to 35kg, the roof is still able to take 75 kg so if you can find a roof rack to fit the excite its 75kg, the lr and face lift are I believe 75kg on the rails and roof. (You can double check by downloading the manual for each vehicle from the mg website)

There was a 'recall' which was a added page to the manual saying what the load rating is.
