Had my Trophy for a few weeks now and decided to give one-pedal driving (OPD) a go over the weekend. My initial reaction was to hate it—mostly because I kept lifting my foot too high off the throttle, causing the car to slow down very quickly.

I forced myself to keep using it, and over time, I started to get the hang of it—to the point where I actually began to enjoy it.

That said, I don’t think I’ll use it daily for two reasons:
1. It’s not always available (e.g., when the battery is over 80% charged).
2. You have to turn it on every time you get in the car.

Since I was lucky enough to have the latest updates from new, I have no reason to change any other settings when getting in the car.

OPD should stick, I never have to turn it back on. Just did it once and the car remembers.
I always use it, mainly because I got so used to it in the Tesla where it's on all the time. I don't like that it's a bit variable though, you really do have to be on your toes ready to catch the car if it decides not to slow down at all when you expect it to.

I will check again on it staying on. I wonder if this is a difference between the XPOWER and Trophy.

I think it's linked to driving modes. I don't use mine because I switch from normal to sport regularly, when I switch modes I lose one pedal drive in the new mode.
I just stopped using it, even though I found it to be quite good.

I think like most things in life, the ability to choose is the ideal solution. There are times when OPD is great to have, driving in town would be an example, but on longer journeys I prefer the regen to be lighter touch and find coasting can be a more efficient driving style.

Interestingly, my OPD turned itself off today. The only thing I did differently was select the drive mode from the screen instead of using the programmed star button like I normally do.

OPD auto turns off when you go on snow mode.

I use OPD all the time and it's amazing. I've noticed it uses the front camera when you approach a stop line to decrease speed faster.

It works very well on 2025.

I also have decided to regularly use OPD and after about 2 weeks of enabling it each time... (Trophy)
I find it quite convenient/comfortable to drive with. One thing I have noticed is that it doesn't actually use the physical brakes (it will roll backwards uphill when facing downhill, less than 20cm but you see & feel it).
Just wish I could save it under the custom drive mode. Along with all other settings. It only disables itself while driving if I roll around the drive modes and hit the snow setting.

Yeah the having to set it each time is annoying. Do you find it not being available a lot? Eg when you are in high state of charge?
