Need Help with GPS Issue on My MG Car – “Permission Required” Error

Hello everyone,
I’m experiencing an issue with the GPS on my MG car, and I was hoping someone could help me out. Whenever I try to access the GPS, I get the following error message:

“Permission Required: You need to grant permissions to the app in the system settings.”

Even when I click on the option to access the settings, it doesn’t seem to work—it just stays stuck on the same page, and I can’t move forward.

Has anyone else faced this issue before, and if so, how did you resolve it? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

You have to open your phone and accept the permissions on the phone.

Thank you for your answer! I cleared the cached settings and did a full reset, but the problem started after I did that. Now, I’m unable to connect with my phone.

You need to use your original log in details to reconnect your phone after you've done the reset.

For the permissions you need to swipe left on the home screen and tap the settings icon. On the right hand side scroll down to privacy notice and tick the accept box. Below the privacy notice are on/off switches for maps, apps and online music.
