This morning, as we were returning home from Sainsburys at Washington Galleries shopping centre, I noticed a new signpost pointing to 'UltraRapid EV charging'. Naturally I followed and found this: -
8 charging bays, all empty at Friday lunchtime. According to ZapMap these are 200kW chargers costing 79p per kWh, so not cheap.
Incidentally, at the opposite end of the shopping centre, next to Sainsburys, there's a been a lot of work going on behind some wooden hoardings for a few weeks now, which could be even more chargers being installed.
This is a pretty small shopping centre, though it serves quite a wide area, so is usually packed, but it'll be well-served by rapid chargers soon by the look of it! Pity about the lack of reasonably-priced fast chargers though.
