I am fitting front parking sensors to my ev5 trophy but I can't find any way to get the wire in to the cabin that will go to the led display which will sit on the dashboard, any suggestions??

If you follow the existing wiring loom(s) between cabin and motor (engine) bay you'll find the grommet where they pass through the firewall. It's usually easy to slip another small cable through an existing grommet but you may also find one or more blanks.

I saw a suggestion elsewhere to follow the bonnet catch release cable to find a way through

Hi Les, I got the sensors from eBay and the front illuminated parking switch, I am only using 2 of them, I put plastic extensions on both sides of my front numberplate for them to be fitted to, still trying to get a place to get the cables through to the cabin which is difficult because of the foam sound insulation on both sides of the bulkhead, my intension is to use a grommet for the cables remote from any wires that exist, in other words keep the fitting as professional as possible. Now that the weather is getting warmer I will search again possibility behind the glovebox and I will drill a tiny hole and push a rod to see where it appears on the other side of the bulkhead. Matt

Have not figured out how to send the pics yet, as a matter of interest went back to the dealer and explained my problem, he said the sensors were not needed he said to go with the front camera and then demonstrated driving forward till the red bars were just showing, I went Back to him a few weeks later and this time he showed me a different position to use further up the display. Even if I get it wrong once in a thousand times the bodywork would get hit that’s why I want the sensors. When I finally get the cables through I will let you know. Matt
