Having sold the HS Phe last summer, I thought that was the end of MG for now.. Alas accident in Leaf meant we needed a new car. I was hoping that Hyundai Kona would prove a decent fit but it was too cramped.
ZS facelift is very spacious for passengers just like the HS.
Budget was cheap and cheerful so £13.5k for 2022 facelift SE in Silver. It will be replacing the leaf as a short range EV

We need seat covers. The stock seats a bit ugly - didn't care about Trophy as PU leather in HS Phev started cracking after year 2.
Anyone has decent set on theirs ? links would be much appreciated.

We also need dashcam. I saw an Alixpress link with ones that fit over the front facing camera. Anything better than those ?

I believe the SE does not have wireless phone charging mat. I have Carlinkit 2 from HS. Would that suffice for wireless carplay ?

Also it has LFP pack right ? What is the general consensus on charging. No battery charging limiting on ZS so too painful to both ?

If "SE" means 50 kWh battery, then yes it seems to be LFP.

Consensus on that seems to be that it does not suffer from degradation if you charge it to 100% so if there is no charge limit to adjust, then just let it charge to 100% every time you charge. Remember when it gets to 100% it might continue, while balancing the batteries.

Thanks. Yes we this will be our 3rd EV if we ignore 3 years of HS Phev + 1 year of Outlander. I am aware of balancing cycles and yes we have 30kWh of LFP powering the house on daily basis. Haven't come across any degradation data but LFP is definitely better at handling abuse compared to NMC

Have a look at Mio dash cams, they cost a little more but are GPS so can track your speed, they also have most static speed speed camera locations built in and give an audible warning when your approaching one and a different blipping audio if your going over the speed limit for the appropriate camera, also you can press a button on the side to add new ones that aren’t know by the unit.
ZSs have a charge point for dash cams built into the rear view mirror housing, don’t know about other MG models.
