Firstly Kudos to Ohme and Octopus in their sorting of the issue, it has been quick so far.
My Ohme Pro which is around 12 months old and installed by Octopus, has suddenly decided that for the majority of the day it cannot connect to any services.
Switching off at the breaker for any length of time (we went out for a few hours) does not help. I looked this afternoon at 3pm while talking to Octopus, and it had been offline for 4 hours.
For security, we have set it to approve charging at each plug in, and locked the keypad on the unit.
This is great, until such time that you want to charge the car and the app asks for approval - which when you accept, times out and charge does not start.
Trying to change any settings, or schedules fail, and when things do come back online it defaults to max charge, ignoring any smart pricing (which is bad at 4pm being on Agile)
Have a new unit being shipped within 2 days, and an engineer lined up after it arrives, all under warranty, so all good!
Hopefully it all goes to plan, and not a problem with the car killing the charger or anything worse!
I hope others have not experienced this, or if they do, I advise to turn off any security features when you can talk to the unit, so you can at least charge if needed
And if you do, report it sooner rather than suffering... The response from both the manufacturer and installer have been great up to now,
