Back in the seventies/eighties pre delivery inspections(PDI) were almost abandoned. Instead dealers let the new owners identify the faults themselves and return the car to the dealers hoping that the faults could be rectified. Eventually the warranty ran out or the owners just gave up and lived with the faults.
Although there is an extended warranty on the MG4, there is evidence from the forums that some cars are been delivered to customers without some of the known faults having been checked. (and rectified?)
I have a SEL on order promised for mid December. I assume it will be Jan/Feb now. When the dealer rings to say the car is arriving e.g. next week? I intend to present the dealer with a list of known faults gleaned from the forum. I will endevour to keep the list updated Hopefully MG4 owners will add to the list from their own experiences. E.G.
1. Software updates
2. Damaged underside,
3. Oil leaks
