Pre heating the car.

Had anyone tried to preheat their car while plugged in? Does it draw power from the battery or charger?

From the charger I think. The charging current went down when I tried it.

I would agree, had my car get to the target and drop to a low kw <1 charge to complete, turned on the preheat and the kw draw went back up.

So long as it is plugged into an active charger is should draw from that source. However I have not had a clear answer from this forum if a schedule set in the car or even the charger would allow the charger to go active to supply power for car or battery preheat. I.e would it override an active schedule?

This is probably my biggest concern of all with choosing the mg4. My now very low tech i3 does this fine and most electric cars have always allowed scheduled pre heating after a night charge.

Really need to find out if this is a decision (stupid one at that!) MG have made or an error that will be sorted via an update.
