Query about Cyberster climate control screen setting

I have got to grips with all the settings on my new GT , which is brilliant, with one exception! On the middle screen (between the seats) showing climate control settings, half way down is a strange horizontal small oval button with a line in it. You can turn it on and off by presssing it,but my question is what does it do? Thanks so much anyone who can throw light on this, admittedly minor, query.

It toggles the sync of left and right temperature setting
