I have a 2021 ZS luxury long range. Very happy with it but the radio (both FM and DAB) has stopped working. Streaming works fine, so the audio part is ok. I have an appointment with the garage to have s look at it on May 1. Anyone with a similar experience? Could it be a software thing that I could fix with a reset?
Cheers, Joost

1st Push and hold home button if that don't work Battery disconnect or a factory reset

Unfortunately I didn't lock the car when I left it at the charger for a few days. When I returned the 12v battery had died. The car was unresponsive. After charging the 12v battery I had my car back and -hey, presto!- my radio is working again.
Thanks guys, for the advice.

I have 2022 model. My radio is not working. Reading these replies. Where is 12v battery please. How do I do factory reset?

Do a system re-set first. Hold down the home button until the system goes down then let it boot back up, then re-try radio

The 12V battery is under the bonnet.
You will need a 10mm spanner to remove the negative lead for a few minutes.

Another thing to check particularly on DAV is to make sure under settings, the follow option is turned on. This has eliminated the constant freezing I e was experiencing.

Sorry for hijaking this thread, but the radio in this car is killing me, it is basically useless.

I noticed that if I slow down using regen breaking, the radio stops and will only start working again once I a am at solid speed.

Did anyone else notice this?

I seem to remember that there is a speed related, volume control adjustment in the head unit ?.
Has this been dragged to zero by any chance ?.
This may explain why the volume drops as the car slows down and increases when the car speeds up ?.
Worth checking anyway ??.

Hi! I tested this and no, it's not that. It definitely has to do with regen.
When I set KERS to 1 this never happens, but if I drive with 3 and I brake, the radio stops.

Check with MG garage, it will be easy to demonstrate if that's the case. I always drive in KERS 3 and never had any problems with radio

It's a company car and the dealer doesn't give s***t, unfortunately. I had several minor complaints (i.e. the clicking steering wheel) and I doubt that they ever looked at them properly.

Any MG authorised garage has to do repairs either under warranty or paid. If they don't, MG customer service will want to hear about it. Make a fuss.
Some leased cars are supposed to be repaired by the leasing company.

What happens when you listen to other music apart from radio?

It's always the same excuse: "we had a look, we couldn't find anthing".

The issue is only with the radio, bluetooth works fine.
