My MG ZS Trophy EV, 2023 model wouldn't drive on Sunday morning. A steering wheel lighted on the dashboard along with ECSL - the steering was locked. The AA were unable to solve the problem and towed me to Stoneacre Doncaster where I bought the car. I contacted them on Monday at 8.30am and provided all the information that I had, including the error faults listed by the AA. I phoned again later in the afternoon for an update and learned that the earliest scheduled workshop slot was 27th September but they may be able to fit it in earlier. There was no offer of an alternative vehicle, which we need for a holiday. Apparently I might be eligible for a car provided by MG but not until they know what is wrong and how long before it can be fixed.

Has anybody else been faced with this? Any advice would be appreciated

It doesn't have to be the the dealer that sold you the car that fixes it
You can try another dealer.

If you do that you might want to tell the original dealer you won't be back again given this level of service.

Thanks Unfortunately my car is with the supplying dealer and so this would involve a recovery company and a journey of 40 miles. I will however use another dealership in future and let them know this.

as far as I remember, it's 3 days courtesy car with AA cover, AA and MG sort that out between themselves.
