MG3 Hybrid+ Trophy
I'm sure I've read of someone else having this issue, but my MG3 Hybrid+ Trophy has an issue with the Sat Nav in that when I select it, if I'm stationary, it will often show a previous location and not update to where I actually am. I've looked in the GPS details and it even does this when it is showing a high level of accuarcy. The moment I move off it corrects itself. My MG dealer in Bristol has been trying to sort this for me for a while now, and over 6 visits MG have advised them to do software reinstalls amongst other things. A couple of times the software wouldn't even install and another copy was needed from MG. The latest attempt succeeded in installing but didn't fix the problem. It still shows a software version dated Apr 20 2024. It looks like it isn't just a glitch with my installation but a whole software bug.

Does anyone else have this issue? I'd like to gauge the depth of the problem across other MG3's before I go back to them again!

All information would be appreciated.

I have noticed the same issue. It usually corrects itself as soon as you start driving. I've also occasionally noticed, if the sat nav hasn't loaded, the speed limit recognition doesn't work. However this also corrects itself like the location issue.
All this said, I've had previous experience of similar location issues with other makes and models of cars.
Finally I don't think I've used the built in system more than once. Using a Bluetooth adapter I use mostly Waze via Carplay. This allows for voice activation, and up-to-date traffic information.
It takes maybe 5 or 10 seconds for the wireless phone connection when switching on the car, and (you have to adopt the - nothings perfect approach), there is sometimes a connection glitch. Always overcome with the highly technical unplug and plug in trick with the adapter!!!
