Satnav issues

Update on this:

Car was booked into the dealer on 14th October but they timed out on their investigations because I was waiting for the car. It was re-booked for today, but this time on the basis of leaving it with them for as long as they needed.
Just received a call to inform me they have to remove the Infotainment Unit and send it back to MG same as @mystreet
Fortunately they are not quoting quite as long a wait as he endured, but it could still be as much as 6 days

For those contemplating one of these Navigation updates, you have been warned!

Yes as such but it's only the sat nav you can update, not the infotainment itself.

Nah. I was hoping some enterprising geek had managed to sort out a decent Android based head unit that replicated what the 5's unit does (but maybe without some of gratuitous graphics).
We can live in hope.

A screen that size but with identical functionality (i.e. CarPlay) but with multi-touch would be ideal - and someone competent to fit it as I'm not ripping my dash apart!
