Despite owning our 5 over 3 years I've never done a scheduled charge overnight, with solar panels and low annual mileage it's not been necessary. So a sort of beginners question: We have an older SyncEV charger which has optional pulse charging or 'stay awake'. Do I need either of these? Or will the car accept the charge OK at the scheduled time if I plug it in and lock up for the night.
Stay awake seems to charge at 6 amps until charging starts which rather defeats the objective of taking advantage of cheap rate electricity. I seem to recall reading on here a few years ago pulse charging was not good for the car/could discharge 12V battery.
Grateful for any advice.

Thanks for responding, we are on Octopus Flux and I'm considering moving to Octopus Go. Principly to charge the house battery at a cheaper rate.
