Screen Off

I have not seen this referred to here and could not find any info in the 'manual' either.
I had seen that the infotainment screen could be turned completely off to just leave a clock on a black screen. I asked AI which informed me to 'swipe down' on the screen. This shows another never-been-seen-before screen with a button 'Screen Off', touch it and I had a black screen (with clock) at last. This is quite easily done on the move and really helps in the dark on those unlit roads, as the dimmest and 'dark' setting is still too bright for me. Thought somebody else might appreciate knowing this. Slight snag is if, for example, the radio volume is clicked the lit up screen reappears, same with heat control and probably others too.

Thanks for the enlightenment here Clive.
I came across the 'Screen Off' button and naturally enough looked for 'Screen Off' when searching in the manual. Why do they call it a 'Blank Screen' then? You couldn't make it up!
We'll all get there in the end....

'Blank Screen' is just the title of the thread started by @Aitch1.

Conversely, we can only wonder why did they not title the button 'Blank Screen'.

Further to the previous answers, also when you swipe down from the top of the screen you can turn off Lane keep assist without going into the settings menu.
