Two days ago my main screen started malfunctioning (see screenshot). The right hand panel no longer shows the vertical row of icons (such as music, navigation, driving settings). They are pushed off the edge of the screen and seem to be flashing on and off. This means there are a lot of settings I can’t change any more.

Also, the left hand star button on the steering wheel (which is mapped to change the driving mode - normal, sport, eco etc) now needs to be pressed 10 or 15 times to move the mode from one to the next.

So it must be some kind of software glitch. Has anyone else had this? How can it be fixed?

Thanks

Hard to do but - try catching the screen and pressing the left/right arrow buttons at the top of the media section to change the input source to DAB radio. Something in my memory says this (or something similar) is a way to resolve the issue at least temporarily.

this should do it (not sure if its selecting DAB as the input or changing DAB station?)

I've had this happen once in nearly 2 years, and plenty of others have had it but generally not something that keeps happening on the same car

Thanks. What an odd bug.

I guess they’ll fix it in the next release.

Please forgive my ignorance. How does one "catch" a screen that is fixed to the dashboard?

Do you mean catch it in the act of changing screens? If so, from which to which, or does it not matter?
Basically, if you try to swipe the screen left to reveal the icons it swipes back almost immediately to put them out of reach again. So you have to ‘catch’ the media icon and click it before it does. It took me a few attempts.
