Hi all

Has anyone else experienced any issues with the passenger seat seat belt buckle not locking the belt in place? This has happened a few times in ours, it also doesn't make the usual click as you put it in when it does seem to hold. Booked in with the dealer tomorrow to have it looked it but wondered if it's a common fault?

When I rang the dealer they don't deem it a safety issue as it isn't the drivers belt which I found somewhat strange.

Then your dealer is an idiot ... your car (if it was old enough) would probably fail an MOT for a seatbelt clip not retaining correctly.

This isn't a common issue AFAIK though.

They may have expressed themselves clumsily.
It is obviously a safety issue but the car remains operable albeit with one unusable seat. If it were the driver belt, the whole car is inoperable.

Will they be paying the £500 fine every time you carry a passenger?
