Daughter having 4 year 40000 service on her MG ZS EV
Anyone had this done lately who can give indicative costs please ?
Had the brakes done on last year's service

Isn't year 4 the coolant change? That's supposed to be expensive.

Edit: Found it in the service schedule;

SERVICE INTERVAL PLAN
• Special Maintenance Items
Transmission fluid - replace every 80,000 km.
Brake fluid - replace every 2 years.
Coolant - replace every 4 years or 96,000 km whichever is sooner.
A/C filter element - replace every 2 years or 48,000 km whichever is sooner.
Guide for panoramic sunroof maintenance - Use grease recommended by the manufacturer regularly for its maintenance.
Or consult MG Dealer if the car is often drived in dusty or sandy places.

Best making a few calls to 2-3 nearest MG garages, won't help you knowing the costs of someone who is 200 miles away as they might be much higher or much lower than your local one ... even better, consider signing up for a service plan, then you know costs in advance and you pay monthly instalments ... check it out online

@Bazzer44 Just check with the dealer on the HV battery coolant schedule change interval.
I will include a screen shot taken from MY MG Service check off sheets.
IMG_6450.jpeg

This was used ( by my request ) when the MG technician carried out our last two year service in March 24.
The HV coolant is first item on second side of the sheet ( below ) and it does suggest a coolant change at 5 years or 75,000 miles ( which ever arrives at first ) line item 21 on the sheet.
However, it looks like it will require a reduction gear oil change at 4 years or 60,000 miles ( its line item 27 on the sheet ).
They call it transmission fluid on the sheet, but I think it refers too the reduction gear oil.
I would suspect then that your daughter’s 4 year service, will be fairly similar to the two year service schedule.
So, this is likely to be brake fluid change and internal cabin filter, the addition of the reduction gear oil change and then the basic level checks / tyre condition and a quick under body health checks as normal.
As you had the brakes done last year, you should not need any work done here then 👍.
I always request a check off sheet myself.
This way I can quickly go through the check off sheet myself and verify that the work has been done ( where it is possible of course ).
I work on the theory that if it has been ticked, then they have claimed the work has been completed and the customer has been changed appropriately, if it’s ticked and not done, why not ????.
