Currently in Australia we have every 2 yrs alternating $295 and $810 services. The only difference in the listed tasks for each of those services is in the more expensive service there is a change of coolant and a change of the transmission oil. Can someone who is knowledgeable about servicing explain why these two things alone add $500 to the servicing cost?

The coolant & tranny fluid could cost $150-$200ish if high quality stuff is used, the rest may be labour.

I watched a YT vid the other week of one chap rebuilding an accident damaged Hyundai Kona EV, He was bleeding the coolant system after fitting a new radiator & he said the price for a 2ltr container of coolant from the Hyundai dealer was £19 / AUS$36.36.

That is the question I am hoping someone who knows the actual cost of these fluids and the labour will answer.
I service my own non-EV vehicles and use quality fluids. Last time I paid for labour it was $110aud/hr

Is the cost justifiable? Probably not, but the inclusion of 7yrs roadside assistance while using an MG garage is the trade off.
