Severe Winter usage...
Pros:
Strong heater helps a lot - can be left to preheat once activated manuall
Standard tires works well on snow even deep layers
Creep is brilliant for deep snow
Eco+ best mode for snow driving
Regen 3 works well as braking on
Range remains around 2.5-3miles per kWh
heated front & rear screen climate works really well

Cons:
Heated seats takes a while to heat up
Wiper don’t have vertical hold setting to assist clearing ice from front of car (my golf has it for changing wipers)
Rear screen heater doesn’t cover the wiper section - so it remain frozen
bonnet Ice and snow never melts!
can’t lock with remote once pre-heat started

overall, it performed way better than expected....given I traded a Discovery 3 with snow tires for it just 2 weeks ago!! No regrets!

Check the manual under maintenance, changing wiper blades, there is a bit in there about putting the blades into service mode.

Apologies for my ignorance what does service mode do?
Does it lift the wblades of the screen or something else?

It makes them go vertical so you can easily swap the blades.

I can confirm it works. It did it by accident, shortly after getting my MG5, while fiddling about getting out of the car.

Like driving, say, a hire car where the indicators and windscreen operation is the opposite of what you're used to...

Not sure if the MG5 has the same facility as the ZS EV - but you can centre park the wipers to change the wipers blades, as you did with your Golf.
Here you go !.

MG5: I have been looking at the power used by the heater on the 5. Today at peak heating it is taking anything up to 14A on start up to get to temp (20 C) and then running at 9A to keep up to temperature. That is 6Kw to 4Kw. So per hour that for my car is 10% of the battery or 20 miles per hour range. The GOM (GuessOMeter) will then obviously base it's range estimate on that previous usage.
In addition running on ECON drops the consumption to about 6A to keep up temperature. Thus reducing the range loss to about 14.5 miles per hour running time. So once to temperature in Winter ECON setting it is.......also discovered it has a separate battery heater as well.

But do they return to the park position when you switch the car on ?
If so they may hit the edge of the bonnet and damage the paintwork if you left them up off the screen.

Yes! Don't start the car with them in the service position and the bonnet open. I learnt the hard way!
