Ok all 4 updates complete.
Only driven back to work but no nagging noises ?. Have a longer drive home so will have all driver aids on to see how it is and report back.
As for knocking noise, they have tightened up all the bits to do with steering rack and greased the knuckle joint on the steering wheel, no noise so far so fingers crossed.

Covered just over 50miles on the way home and what a difference. No more chimes from any of the driver aids. Lane assist just changes from blue to red and when you turn it on or off no chimes. Pro pilot seems smoother and the whole car just feels alot more alert. By far the most important bit for me is being able to turn high beam assist off in the menu.
This is how the car should have been from day 1.
Will fully charge tonight to see if the range has increased as rumoured but I won't hold my breath.

Thank you for the feedback, what about the infotainment system and sat nav are there any other improvements?

The satnav still loads like it always did but once you have accepted the warnings it finds your position quickly and loads all the graphics quicker, before update the graphics loaded in chunks and it was very jerky when zooming in. So that seems to have improved abit. As for the menus it's the same, still a bit laggy at times but acceptable enough.

Let us know how you get on with your update.
After full charge the range has increased by 6 miles across all drive modes and that's with the kw per mile reset at 3kw so a small increase.
Any increase is a good increase, but this may increase as your car becomes more embedded to how your drive if your foot is not made of lead.

Thanks for the update on the software upgrade. I’ll get mine done at its first service in January.

Just got mine back, all seems OK but i've not checked everything...the Bongs have definitely gone, outside temp showing.....plugged it in as i'm impatient to see if my range has improved from my normal 160.

They charged me £60 plus VAT, which to honest, I don't think is too bad.

Yes, it would have been nice to get it FOC, but the dealer has only been re-opened a few days after many weeks of closure and they are trying their best to get back on their feet. I've no complaints.

Let us know about your range though as this point is really of interest to me as I do lots of trip of about 150 - 160 miles so that little extra would offer comfort.

That's better then my price. Mine was £90.
I agree it should be FOC. I am in talks with head office at the moment so I shall see how far I get.

It maybe worth highlighting that the current software breach’s the high way code in sounding its horn outside of certain parameters making those actions illegal.

Yes good shout as it was always a military operation to get out of the car without the horn sounding. Certainly not missing that feature.

Your lucky it happened twice today, really annoying everyone looks at you, but early hours you tend to try and hide..

I had it loads of times...really annoying......not now though:)

My GOM is now saying 171 miles! :)

Counting down the days, rear windows are being tinted next week by Global Tint and then the updates the week after, happy days. Then will post photos.

I would be interested to know why you think a software upgrade that provides improvements to the MG should be a cost free?
