Not an MG
Good Afternoon all,

just after a bit of advice as I seem to remember reading somewhere any Volkswagen group wheel will fit an MG5 FL SE model. I have searched the forum and various YouTube videos without finding the source again.
Is there anything else I should look for or just any VW spare wheel from a breakers yard?

cheers in advance

The VW spare wheels are a very slightly different diameter than the standard space saver tyre iirc.

The spacing of the bolts is correct though.
I bought a full size spare with 1000 odd miles on it for about 70 quid off flea bay.
Fits in the spare bay under the boot.

I should clarify I bought an MG5 wheel.

I think I remember seeing somewhere that the VW wheels use bolts with a different profile from the MG ones so you'd need to carry a spare set of bolts if you used a VW spare wheel.

I bought a space saver from a MK5 golf which had a full kit including a jack.

Yes the VW wheels have a different taper than the MG for the bolts, I bought a VW Golf space saver with the insert kit complete with the VW wheel bolts for £46 delivered via eBay for my 2024 gen 2 MG ZS EV.
